Douglas R. Cox, O.D.
Dr. Cox, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, received his undergraduate education at Eastern Kentucky University. He studied Optometry at The Ohio State University College of Optometry and graduated with a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree in 1978. He has extensive experience in eye examination, treatment of eye diseases and contact lenses. He has conducted research studies for a number of contact lens and solutions manufacturers, most recently for Ciba Vision's newest multifocal contact lens. He has been on Advisory Panels for CooperVision, Vistakon and Ciba Vision. He is a past Governor of the Cleveland Optometric Association and is an active member of the Ohio and the American Optometric Associations. For over 10 years, he has been an examiner for The National Board of Examiners in Optometry. He has lectured on topics ranging from contact lenses and lens care to Lasik co-management and treatment of eye disease.
